Life in Human Resources
The Kennedy Center Human Resources (HR) Department serves an employee population that includes Federal employees, full-time and part-time Trust employees and unions. The HR department works to strengthen the culture by fostering an environment of equity and inclusion. Additionally, HR focuses on all aspects of an Employee Life Cycle to ensure the right people are in the right place, and employees are developed and recognized, and provided a rewarding set of experiences.
The HR Operations sector assesses organization-wide developmental needs, while identifying and arranging suitable learning solutions for all employees.
The Total Rewards team works together to continuously improve the total rewards function of the Kennedy Center through management of the strategy, design, and implementation of all employee benefit plans. As a part of Total Rewards, the Payroll team is responsible for payroll processing, calculation of wages, tax law compliance, ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on schedule.
The Talent Acquisition team assists in developing and maintaining a streamlined and high volume recruiting process for the Kennedy Center, and managing the internship and fellowship programs.
The Federal HR team oversees recruitment, retention, placement, employee and labor relations, performance management, workers’ compensation, salary and benefits analysis, employee development, and employee engagement and impact for the Kennedy Center Federal Staff.
