Women’s Vote Commemoration
August 18-26 , 2020
Presented as part of #WomensVote100, a celebration of trailblazing women to commemorate 100 years of the 19th Amendment and to acknowledge the further progress needed—then and now—to fully realize equity at the polls.
The Kennedy Center is lit in the historic suffrage colors of purple and gold as part of the Forward Into Light campaign. Other participating buildings included The White House, One World Trade Center, Niagara Falls, Welcome to Las Vegas sign, Smithsonian Institution, Library of Congress, National Archives, and National Park Service sites.
