Happy Birthday to U.S.! Join in the party as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We’ll explore different art forms from across the US, focusing on one region at a time.
This month’s region is the Northeast! This region includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Learn to dance the Lindy Hop, draw a state flower, create a print of a landmark, and get silly with a state story.

Celebrate our state parks! Outline the photo with needle and thread or get creative with a design.

Ever wanted to visit another state? Use your imagination to create a print of a state landmark.

Many of our projects take 60-90 minutes to complete. These projects are self-guided and self-paced, allowing you to explore a longer artmaking process.
Moonshot Studio staff is available to introduce the projects and to lend a hand when needed.

What makes a great portrait in the digital—or any—age? By looking at the works of Richard Avedon and Andy Warhol we learn that it's not enough to create just another pretty face.
How does poetry change when it transforms from written to spoken word? Listen as well-known voices express the work of celebrated poets.
In this 6-8 lesson, students will explore “singable” picture books. They will analyze rhyme and musical meter in poetry. Students will write musical note poems to create a singable picture book.
