Note from the Artist

Jennifer Koh

“The Bridge to Beethoven project explores the impact of Beethoven’s music in our current culture by pairing his ten sonatas for violin and piano with new works over four programs. A revolutionary composer in his time, he has become a historic fixture and figure head in classical music. This Bridge to Beethoven concert features a new work, Bridgetower Fantasy by composer Vijay Iyer, as a pairing with Beethoven’s ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata.”
