Born and raised William Griffin in Long Island Wyandanch community, Rakim found Knowledge of Self in the parks, parties and streets of New York and, although only 16 years old at the time of his first label recording, quickly distinguished himself as a transformative entity in the rapidly globalizing Hip-Hop culture. His recordings including the all-time classics Paid In Full, Follow the Leader and The 18th Letter - have sold in the multi-millions worldwide. Billboard, Rolling Stone, MTV and a host of others consistently refer to Paid in Full as the greatest Hip-Hop album of all time a claim that is often reflected in audience polls. his personal accolades include being named the #1 Lyricist of All Time by The Source Magazine, receiving coveted BET and VH1 Lifetime achievement Awards and being nominated to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His long list of social, government and academic commendations and accreditations include recognition from The White House, The US Congress, The Nation of Islam, The Smithsonian and a Doctorate from The University of Holland. With Gold and Platinum albums lining the walls of the 4th Broadway, MCA, I and most notably Universal labels, he has been recruited to add his star talents to projects for separately Bob, Damian and Stephen Marley, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Nas, Alicia Keys, Linkin Park, Jody Watley, Mobb Deep, Lloyd Banks, Busta Rhymes, Gang Starr, Truth Hurts and The Roots among many others. Rakim uncanny innovation was a focal point of the critically acclaimed recreation of Bob Marley Concrete Jungle, the award winning Art of Rap, HBO/Netflix Hip Hop Evolution and premier documentaries by CNN, the BBC and more. He has recorded for dozens of movie soundtracks including Juice, Brown Sugar, the Rugrats, American Psycho, Long Walk to Freedom and 8 Mile and his role model status has led world famous brands such as Nike, General Motors, The Coca Cola Company, LVMH and many more to choose him as spokesperson. Now with thirty years at the top of Hip-Hop Greatest list, The God MC Rakim Allah continues to lead so others may follow.

Born to Jamaican parents, the man named Ricky Walters emigrated from the posh side of London to The Bronx in 1976. After majoring in visual art at Fiorella H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art, he transferred his artistic tendencies to music. Alongside Doug E. Fresh, he cooked up “The Show” and “La Di Da Di.” The latter would be sampled, interpolated, and shouted out north of 800 times by 2020, spanning Snoop Dogg’s “Lodi Dodi” from 1993’s seminal Doggy Style through Jay Rock’s GRAMMY® Award-winning “King’s Dead” [feat. Future, Kendrick Lamar, & James Blake] from the chart-dominating Black Panther: The Album in 2018. Its long history includes nods by Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, The Notorious B.I.G., Pusha T, and many more. He made history as “the third artist signed to Def Jam Recordings” and “the most successful BritishAmerican rapper,” delivering an unimpeachable discography comprised of The Great Adventures of Slick Rick [1988], The Ruler’s Back [1991], Behind Bars [1994], and The Art of Storytelling [1999]. Not to mention, he teamed up with JAY-Z, Missy Elliott, OutKast, Jermaine Dupri, Mos Def, Common, and Aaliyah for blockbuster joint records. Meanwhile, Amy Winehouse, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, J. Cole, and Big Sean have all referenced him in songs. VH-1 Hip Hop Honors celebrated him in 2008 and The Source ranked him in the Top 5 of its “Top 50 Lyricists of All Time.” Time and time again, he lived up to the titles of “Hip-Hop’s Greatest Storyteller” and, of course, “The Ruler.” Extending his presence, Rick’s growing filmography comprises ten movies and music videos such as “No Stylist” by French Montana and Drake.

Not only does he remain a pillar of the hip-hop community, but he also is entwined with the local and global communities. He co-sponsored The Bronx Youth Empowerment Program’s Christmas Charity Event for three years and fought homelessness alongside politicians in New York and Florida.

 In the 1990s as hip-hop grew more and more commercialized and corporate, it was KRS-One that openly rejected such cultural exploitation and materialism grounding Hip Hop in its original principles of peace, love, unity and safely having fun. Teaching everything from self-creation to stopping violence; from vegetarianism to transcendental meditation, from the establishment of Hip Hop Appreciation Week (every third week in May), to establishing Hip Hop as an international culture at the United Nations (2001), KRS-One has single-handedly held the history and original arts of Hip Hop together now for over two decades. In addition to lecturing at over 500 universities in the United States and publishing three ground-breaking books; The Science of Rap (1995), Ruminations (2003), and the Gospel of Hip Hop (2009), KRS-One has also established the Stop The Violence movement (1989), influenced the creation of the West-Coast All-Stars anti-gang anthem Were All In The Same Gang (1990), warned the Hip Hop community against giving up their humanity for technological advancement  (H. E. A. L. Human Education Against Lies-1991), and has established the Temple of Hip Hop for the spiritual exploration of Hip Hop culture (1996). It was KRS-One who first argued that rap is something we do; Hip Hop is something we live and introduced the I am Hip Hop philosophy in 1994 which Black Entertainment Television uses as the title of their Hip Hop Lifetime achievement Award today. Without question, KRS-One has been the loudest voice for the actual preservation and expansion of original Hip Hop worldwide. When he is not touring or lecturing, on his so-called down-time, KRS-One continues to share his unique knowledge of Hip Hop to younger audiences eager to hear the teacher speak. Operating as a kind of pop-up school, KRS-One Temple of Hip Hop has appeared in various cities in USA also in the UK and Europe offering the more serious student of Hip Hop an effective way to live and understand the culture of Hip Hop more deeply.

Until recently, DJ Jazzy Jeff had been busy traveling the globe. Jeff satisfies his passion for sharing good music with two annual European tours, regular tours of Canada, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, and shows across the US throughout the year. With each set, he takes fans on a musical journey. And he chronicles all of his travels in the increasingly popular Vinyl Destination, a web series that documents DJ Jazzy Jeff’s experiences on and off stage. Due to the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, DJ Jazzy Jeff moved the party, literally, in-house with his signature livestreams: Magnificent Friday Nights (9 PM ET), Magnificent House Party (Saturdays at 3 PM ET), and Magnificent Lunch Break (Wednesdays at 12 PM ET). Though DJ Jazzy Jeff is busy playing good music for fans worldwide, he hasn’t stopped producing great music. His newest release, "Evil," debuted at #1 on Traxsource and continued to chart for weeks after its release. He is currently working with Philadelphia MC Dayne Jordan. The duo released "Memoirs of Dayne Jordan" in Spring 2015. In the meantime, the pair has released several singles and videos, including Room Test, All About the Art, I Want it All, Einstein (prod. by DJ Ferno), and Play Dat. The same year, DJ Jazzy Jeff founded the PLAYLIST Retreat, an invitation-only event that brings artists together to inspire, motivate, and fuel collaboration.
