Born on December 23, 1975, into a family of Turkish Sephardic heritage, she continues the legacy of her late father, Yitzhak Levy – a celebrated composer, hazzan, and pioneering researcher of Ladino music and culture. Although he passed away when Yasmin was only one year old, his work deeply shaped her artistic path. Through her music, Yasmin preserves and reimagines the ancient Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) tradition for contemporary audiences.
