PART OF A SERIES

Praised as “egoless, genre-agnostic, and without expectations; it’s the sound of the future, today” (JazzTimes), Arco Belo is a group of high-energy improvisers dedicated to redefining the concert form. Led by pianist, accordionist, and composer Simone Baron, this GenreFluid ensemble captures an irreverent sound melding reeds, strings, and percussive timbres. Together they present new adventurous compositions, reimagining a sound at the intersection of avant-garde chamber music, creative jazz, Brazilian music, and Jewish diasporic music. Arco Belo has toured the West Coast and Southeast to critical acclaim. Their debut album, The Space Between Disguises was lauded as editor’s pick in both Downbeat and JazzTimes magazines.
For all Millennium Stage performances, a limited number of advance reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Advance reservations do not guarantee a seat, and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
