Kris Davis is a Grammy Award®–winning pianist and composer described by The New York Times as a beacon for “deciding where to hear jazz on a given night.” Davis has released 25 recordings as a leader or co-leader and collaborated with artists such as Terri Lyne Carrington, Dave Holland, John Zorn, Craig Taborn, Ingrid Laubrock, Tyshawn Sorey, and Esperanza Spalding. She was named a 2021 Doris Duke Artist alongside Wayne Shorter and Danilo Perez, Pianist of the Year by DownBeat magazine in 2022 and 2020, and Pianist and Composer of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association in 2021. Davis is the Associate Program Director of Creative Development at the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, the founder of Pyroclastic Records, and the co-founder of the International Creators and Collaborators Workshop. Davis is a Steinway Artist.

Roberto Fonseca is a Cuban pianist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and bandleader. Havana-born and based, he has released nine solo albums, collaborated across genres, been nominated for a Grammy Award®, and toured the world several times over. Along the way, he has achieved the aim with which he began his professional career in the early 1990s: “Wherever people are, I want them to hear my music and say, ‘This is Roberto Fonseca’.”

Born in Havana in 1975, the son of a drummer father and dancer/singer mother, Fonseca started playing drums at age four and the piano at age eight. His tastes were always eclectic—hard rock, American jazz. Funk, soul, music made in Africa and Brazil, classical music, reggaeton, electronica, hip-hop—the music of Cuba. Fonseca’s deep AfroCuban roots underpin a sound that builds bridges between the ancient and modern, taking Cuba’s music forward. His new release, “Yesun,” features guests including Grammy®-winning saxophonist Joe Lovano, lauded French-Lebanese trumpeter Ibrahim Maalouf, and rising star Cuban rapper Danay Suarez, alongside retro-modern keyboards, electronic beats, and AfroCuban rhythms. Having long proved himself exceptional (in June 2019, he was awarded the distinguished Ordre des Arts Letters from the French Ministry of Culture), Roberto Fonseca is making the music he has always wanted to make.

Chicago native Jahari Stampley began playing the piano at the age of 14. At the age of 18, he was recognized and followed by many world-renowned musicians including Yebba Smith, Jacob Collier, Robert Glasper, Cory Henry, Derrick Hodge, and Isaiah Sharkey. Stampley has recently been called to tour with Stanley Clarke and is featured on Derrick Hodge's Color of Noize album. He has now worked with many world-renowned artists including Jill Scott. Stampley was also the winner of the 2019 American Jazz Pianists Association's Bösendorfer prize (for ages 18-25). Alongside all of this, Stampley released his first mobile app, Piano Chronicles, for which he did all of the art, music, and animation.
