The conversation will focus on the choreographic voice alongside the Asian experience in the ballet world, and how the panelists’ identities and life journeys have informed their choreographic processes.

The panel features Phil Chan, Kennedy Center Next 50 leader and co-founder of Final Bow for Yellowface; Edwaard Liang, American arts leader, acclaimed choreographer, and new Artistic Director of The Washington Ballet; Dana Tai Soon Burgess, choreographer, dancer, and founder of Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company; and Georgina Pazcoguin, former New York City Ballet soloist and co-founder of Final Bow for Yellowface. The conversation will be moderated by Jane Raleigh, Kennedy Center Director of Dance Programming.
